মাংকিপক্স এর উপসর্গ সাধারণত জ্বর ও মাথা ব্যাথা দিয়ে শুরু হয়। আক্রান্ত ব্যক্তি খুবই দুর্বল অবসন্ন বোধ করে, হাড়ের জয়েন্ট ফুলে যেতে পারে, এরপর শরীরে কটি দেখা দেয় আর এটি সাধারণত সংক্রামক হয়ে থাকে।
এই গুটির জন্য রোগীর দেহে খুব চুলকানি হয়। পরে গুটি থেকে ক্ষত দেখা দেয়। তবে গুটি বসন্তের মতোই রোগী সম্পূর্ণ সুস্থ হয়ে উঠলেও এ সব ক্ষরে চিহ্ন থেকে যায়।
মাংকিপক্স কীভাবে ছড়ায়?
মাংকিপক্স ভাইরাস সাধারণত রোগীর ঘনিষ্ঠ সংস্পর্শ থেকে ছড়ায়। রোগীর ত্বক অথবা ব্যবহার করা বিছানার তৈজসপত্রের মাধ্যমে ছড়াতে পারে। আর রোগীর কাছে গেলে কাশির মাধ্যমেও সংক্রমণ হতে পারে।
বিশেষজ্ঞরা বলছেন বেশিরভাগ ক্ষেত্রে এই ভাইরাসের প্রভাব বেশি মৃদু। সাধারণত রোগ দেখা দেয়ার 14 থেকে 21 দিনের মধ্যে রোগী সুস্থ হয়ে যান।
